Autism

Whilst on Facebook this morning (and not doing my Open University coursework – more of that later) I found the following page:

Whilst I salute this campaign I am also saddened by the fact that it completely ignores the Green Party – and our excellent policies on equality, diversity and creating a fairer society.

Apparently there are 6 million votes potentially linked to autism – think that’s a bit high if I’m honest, as that figure probably includes children diagnosed with autism – but if you take the ‘disabled’ vote as a whole – I think it would be more like 10 million!

Come on Green Party – let’s go and work on those votes!! Our policies are the best in that area.

I have emailed Polly Tommey and I’ll await her reply.
